“Patience is a key element of success.” Bill Gates

“Be patient” we’ve all heard this phrase once in our life, but sometimes we misunderstood the meaning of it, thinking that being patient means “just wait and do nothing, and everything will be fine”

Patience doesn’t mean passivity or resignation, but power. It’s an emotionally freeing practice of waiting, watching, and knowing when to act.

Patience is the ability to wait peacefully for a final result while working for it, which means you are making effort to get where you wanna be because sitting on the couch and just thinking about what you would like to do in the world won’t make your dreams come true.

What you need to do instead is, get out of the comfort zone that makes you think you can get everything you want in life, without working for it, there is no such thing in life.

Why is patience important for success?

Patience puts us in direct control of ourselves. And there is no more powerful help to success than self-possession.

When we are patient, we give ourselves time to choose how to respond to a given event, rather than get emotionally hijacked by our emotions, which can be really bad for our success. It allows us to stay gathered no matter what is happening.

Sometimes we don’t have all the answers that we want in life when we want them. That’s ok because we learn and grow through challenges along the way.
