Introduction

In the third quarter, Cellula evolved from a fully on-chain AI game into an innovative programmable incentive layer, revolutionizing the asset issuance model within the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystem.

Cellula is the world’s first autonomous digital world based on Conway’s Game of Life, where users can create unique and ever-evolving on-chain digital lives known as BitLife. Each BitLife has a unique hashrate and generates rewards through virtual mining, similar to Bitcoin mining. By leveraging the original virtual Proof of Work (vPoW) consensus mechanism, Cellula achieves high composability and persistence, establishing a new incentive layer that creates more possibilities for gamified asset issuance. The vPoW mechanism endows each BitLife with unique computing power, allowing it to participate in decentralized mining and dynamically generate incentives, thereby ensuring fair asset distribution and liquidity optimization within EVM-compatible networks.

With these cutting-edge technologies, Cellula is redefining the landscape of decentralized finance and programmable incentives. In the third quarter, the Cellula team not only drove innovation in gamified asset issuance but also delivered more reward opportunities for users through collaborations with ecosystem partners. 2. Product Updates

In this quarter, we achieved significant product updates and optimizations across multiple key areas, further enhancing system stability, security, and user experience. Through innovative improvements to core mechanisms, increased transparency in on-chain data, and comprehensive contract upgrades, we provided users with richer interaction and reward options. Additionally, we made breakthroughs in the BTC ecosystem and prepared for future innovations, while the newly designed official website helps users better understand Cellula’s unique value and growth potential.

  • Optimized the VRGDAs mechanism, significantly enhancing system stability and sustainability.
  • Enabled tracking of Cellula data via major analytics platforms (e.g., NFT Scan, DappRadar, DappBay, Dune Analytics, and DefiLlama), offering users more transparent on-chain data support.
  • Upgraded BitCell and BitLife contracts to ensure more efficient and secure functionalities.
  • Successfully launched BitCell NFTs on the BTC mainnet using the RGB++ protocol, creating the first self-evolving on-chain digital life in the BTC ecosystem.
  • Paused the minting of 3x3 Gene-Type BitLife, charging, swapping, and energy mining functions to prepare for the upcoming BitLife upgrades.
  • Introduced a 5-minute charging reward mechanism and added a new incentive reward feature that doesn’t require BitLife, enriching user interaction and providing diverse earning opportunities.
  • Launched a newly designed website to give users a more intuitive understanding of Cellula’s unique advantages as an innovative programmable incentive layer.

3. Marketing Activities

BitCell NFT Whitelist and Minting Event:

This quarter, we successfully launched Cellula BitCell NFTs on the Bitcoin mainnet using the RGB++ protocol. On August 3rd, FCFS whitelist users completed the free minting of 1,065 BitCell NFTs within one block height, while the earlier guaranteed whitelist of 2,001 NFTs was minted between July 31st and August 1st. To promote this event, we collaborated with nearly 10 partners, including OKX Wallet, to host the BitCell NFT whitelist giveaway, attracting close to 160,000 participants. The website saw a total of 600,000 page views within two weeks. Currently, BitCell NFTs are listed on Dobby Market, where holders will receive 20% of the total airdrop allocation. After TGE, BitCell holders will also be able to stake their NFTs to earn additional incentives and benefit from rewards offered by ecosystem partners.

Cellula Treasure Expedition:

We successfully held three rounds of the Cellula Treasure Expedition in this quarter, creatively gamifying the asset issuance process for both Cellula and its partners. Each round introduced exciting updates, enhancing the user experience and interaction.

  • Round 1 (August 16 — August 23):
    Partners:     Halo and Interstella
    Prize Pool: 1,680,000 Life Points, 67,200 XP, 134,400 Light Years
    Users participated by charging their BitLife for 5 minutes to win rewards, laying the foundation for the treasure expedition and attracting enthusiastic participation from the community.
  • Round 2 (August 26 — August 30):
    Partners:     Four.Meme, Mint Blockchain and Pencils Protocol
    Prize Pool: 1,200,000 Life Points, 300,000 Four.Meme Points, 12,000 Mint NFT Parade Mystery Boxes, 96,000 Pencils Points
    This round saw a significant increase in participants and expanded the event’s reach.
  • Round 3 (September 18 — September 22):
    Partners:     UneMeta x Kumamon and MEET48
    Prize Pool: 1,200,000 Life Points, 5 Kumamon NFTs, 150,000 UUU Points, 996,000 M Points
    This round introduced two participation methods: the BitLife Zone and the Fair Launch Zone. In the BitLife Zone, players earned Life Points by charging BitLife for 5 minutes, while in the Fair Launch Zone, participants could enter simply by sending a transaction, with no need for charging, to win partner rewards. This round was more inclusive, attracting an even broader range of community members.

The Cellula Treasure Expedition gamified the asset issuance process using the Analysoor protocol, ensuring that all players could fairly acquire newly issued assets at minimal cost. With the participation of various partners, we provided abundant reward opportunities for the community, while the ongoing fair launch mechanisms further solidified Cellula’s influence in the gamified asset issuance space. 4x4 Gene-Type BitLife Hackathon:

With special support from the BNB Chain, Cellula launched a three-week 4x4 Gene-Type BitLife Hackathon on September 11. By integrating GPU computing with the rules of the Game of Life, we encouraged developers worldwide to discover high-performance 4x4 Gene-Type BitLifes, with a total prize pool valued at approximately 10,000 USDT. This hackathon marks an important step toward the official release of the 4x4 Gene-Type BitLife, aiming to inspire creativity among developers worldwide, foster deeper community interaction and engagement, and provide robust technical support for miners and mining machine manufacturers. The event attracted participation from 449 developers, further driving technological innovation and activity within the community.

AMA events on Twitter, Binance Square, Telegram and Discord:

Over the past few months, we have actively participated in several AMA events, in-depth discussions with partners and community members GameFi, innovative mechanisms and industry trends Wait for hot topics. As a programmable incentive layer, Cellula has won BNB Ecosystem Catalyst Award for Innovation. Our Ambassador Program has received over 1,200 applications from around the world, and community users, ambassadors, and KOLs have spontaneously created over 200 promotional articles and videos in various languages, including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, and Russian.

We have supported multiple local language channels, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Nigerian, Pakistani, Filipino, Ukrainian, and Spanish. These efforts have made our community more diverse and international.

Meme Competitions and Cellula-CZ Meme Competition: This quarter, we held two meme competitions with a total reward value of 2,000+ USDT. Our Discord community received 260+ submissions, showcasing a wealth of creativity and generating a strong community response. These memes not only highlight the talents of our users but also strengthen community cohesion. Moving forward, we will continue to encourage user creation and launch more innovative events to involve more participants.

Local AMAs: We invited outstanding local ambassadors as special guests to successfully host our first Local AMA, answering community questions and sharing the latest updates on Cellula. We will hold more events in the future to enhance interaction with global communities. In addition, we have also been invited to participate in AMAs on local channels of several excellent ecosystems, including BNB Chain and CKB, where we shared the latest developments of our project and our support for the entire ecosystem.

Introduction of 4x4 Gene-Type BitLife and Miner Roles: To further enhance our ecosystem, Cellula will upgrade the existing 3x3 Gene-Type BitLife to a 4x4 Gene-Type BitLife in the fourth quarter. This upgrade will not only significantly improve the computing power and performance of the mining machines but also enhance their adaptability within the ecosystem. In addition to technological advancements, we will introduce miner roles to attract more ecological partners, driving the production, circulation, and long-term development of mining machines. Miners will become key participants in the ecosystem, injecting new momentum into the project’s sustainable growth.

New Partnerships and Alliances: We will establish new collaborations with several well-known partners and mainstream public chain networks (such as BNB, BTC, and CKB). These alliances will further expand the Cellula ecosystem, introducing new functions and opportunities for the community.
