Expendables 4 Review: Don’t Expect Old School Action Thriller

The Expendables franchise which bring past and present action heros of 80s, 90s and the young guns. Where we were excited about the addition of Asian martial artist Jet Li. The script, humor, and action are all well-done, and the money is well spent. The first three movie of Expendables standard set high for this one which seriously didn’t make up the height.

In Expendables 4, the gang of tough guys — the Expendables, led by Barney Ross (played by Sylvester Stallone) — get tangled in a wacky conspiracy. There’s a threat of a big nuclear blowout between Russia and the U.S., and they end up in a crazy situation.

With their vehicles all blown up in a battle, it looks like Barney’s a goner when their plane crashes, but wait, he’s not really dead (surprise!). There’s a memorial for him, but it turns out that Barney’s on a secret mission and the team is on the hunt to stop the bad guys, Ocelot and Rahmat.

CIA agent Marsh (Andy García) tells the gang about the new mission, but it’s without Lee Christmas (played by Jason Statham) because he kind of messed up the last job. Christmas’ ex, Gina (Megan Fox), joins the team instead, with a new recruit named Lash (Levy Tran).

Then they head to Asia, thinking they’re sneaky, but Christmas secretly follows them. So, it turns out…
