God Tier: Facebook moms run the meme game

Solid piece. An observation from my wife — where do “someecards” fit into this typology? They’re a bit raunchier, a bit more politically leftist, and still constrained into a distinct format (faux-old-timey line art, pastel background, snide observation), but seem to appeal to a completely different demographic than this “post-meme”. At the end of the day though, they’re about as pithy as the Minion macros, except in a “KONY 2012” sort of way, as opposed to a “Precious Moments” sort of way.
