What’s coming Spring 2018

As the weather begins to move toward spring, Center on Halsted also looks toward expanding its reach to communities throughout the Chicagoland area. We are building diverse and holistic programs that empower our community, and we continue to work hard at delivering our core programs: Youth & Senior; HIV Prevention & Testing; Behavioral Health; Anti-Violence; Cyber Center; Sports; Community & Cultural.

During January, we shared stories about our HIV/AIDS prevention work; Getting to Zero. And during February, we celebrated Black History Month with a series of workshops and programs at the Center and DuSable Museum.

During March and April, we will graduate twenty students from our Silver Fork Culinary Arts program, collaborate with the Lyric Opera to bring Fellow Travelers to the community, and honor community members at Human First
