Prior to 1962, the Kothari commission felt the need of such senior secondary schools in the country so as to follow common syllabus and pattern throughout India and to be affiliated to an All-India-Body, for the benefit of the children of Central Government employees as well as floating population of the country. These endeavors have been made in correct perspective.
In November 1964, on the basis of the report of the Kothari Commission, the Government of India, were pleased to open a number of senior secondary schools at various places of the country so as to render educational facilities to the children of such floating families.
