I did not walk away feeling or thinking too much about Dunkirk.
I find C.Nolan to be one of the most overhyped directors of our time. Memento, followed by Inception remain his best works.
It’s easy to dislike the Batman trilogy because Nolan does not know how to do action. A film maker friend of mine pointed out how he is not adapt with geography. Even in Dunkirk the air battles were not cohesive and at time confusing as was the flashback.
He has ambitious ideas but cannot follow through on them. Interstellar is an example. A forgettable film, like Dunkirk.
