June 4th.

I enjoyed the process of “think first, then design” as applied to the wireframe heirarchy. There is an aspect that is puzzle solving. The vertical orientation for the app seems the most logical and user friendly. A far as best practice … I looked at close to 15 apps that were ones you would use on a daily basis and most all were vertical. Chase banking, expedia, linkedin etc etc. I think this is because the companies invested in understanding the user’s needs and also what would provide the most efficient usage.

I understand in the initial wireframes exploring both orientation aspects but as we more forward and build out more detail, adding more time to advance the wireframes I do not see the logic or benefit to building out the horizontal frames.

It is work that does not align with what we have learned about user centric focus and developing and providing the best user experience.

If we are not focused on that then it is busy work in a very, very impacted semester and takes aways much needed extra hours .
