Your well articulated but often ignored point about leaving family behind is true. It’s a huge part of emotional and, consequently, overall well-being. Anyone with their family close to hand will be unable to appreciate it until they​ go on this self-induced exile.

It is almost impossible to see now how we move that collective average forward but I think other nations and peoples have been here before. We just need to find the collective will to do it otherwise there’ll be no one left and that’ll truly be a disaster.
