With regards Hugo Campos campaign for access to his own data, I’d be interested to hear from any European data and medical law experts as to whether various EU countries Data Protection Acts would allow them access to such data?

I certainly feel any individual should be able to get access to this kind of information. Concerns about data security and misinterpretation are valid, and I’d hope most people with health conditions serious enough to warrant a device implanted would be sensible enough to seek professional advice (but as Hugo is quoted as saying, how many doctors have time for that?)
