  1. What did you do this past week?

This past week I spent most of my time acclimating to new classes. I am taking six classes and it takes a while to understand what my schedule is going to look like. However, it is all starting to come together. I also finished setting up my apartment this past week.

2. What’s in your way?

This semester should be a difficult one where classes are concerned. However, I am excited for the challenge because last semester was an easier one. I am certainly going to have to spend more time in the library this semester which is something that I have lost the routine of doing.

3. What will you do next week?

Next week, my goal is to get ahead of my homework in my classes. Not much stuff is due in the next couple of weeks. However, I don’t want to neglect my work and get backed up later in the semester. Hopefully, I can get started on anything that has been assigned. Next week I also hope to find a job. I’ve started to apply to a couple of places but I need to find a job sooner rather than later. I also need to learn how to cook because I am a terrible cook and I need to learn to make my own food. I am becoming tired of eating frozen pizza.

4. What are your expectations of the class?

I took object oriented programming last semester so I expect this class to be similar to that. I am used to the blogs, quizzes and tests, however I need to adjust to the differences in the material and the projects. Hopefully the classes won’t be all that different.

5. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is atom. Atom is a text editor that is useful because it can be used for most languages. It can connect directly with git hub and can be accessed easily from the shell. It is my text editor of choice and I would suggest it to any programmer.
