Welcome to The Crack-Up
Max Berger

Thank you for these thoughts. No matter how awkward we might be about it, I hope we see more and more “white” people starting to reflect on how destructive our “dreamer” world is. We all really need to put a lot more effort into listening to our African American neighbors. And into reading the many original sources that can teach us our complete — not dumbed down, not textbook-sanitized — US history, instead of continuing to be (and here’s another great insightful phrase from Ta-Nehisi Coates) “obsessed with the politics of personal exoneration.”

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
