Thanks for the article, Meagan. That is a really upsetting story. In an age when people from some quarters are trying to rewrite scholastic history books to make U.S. history “more positive,” stories like this remind us how important it is to tell ALL of U.S. history, not just the jingoistic mythology that some would like to propagate.
