Don’t have plans for Spring Break?

Visit Colorado for a few days

Last year while on my spring break, I took a road trip to Glenwood, Colorado. I had the most amazing time while I was there. In Glenwood you are surrounded by the beautiful mountains, and have access to everything that you could possibly need!

The rates for hotels are relatively low around this time of year anyways, so you won’t have to spend thousands of dollars on finding your temporary living space.

Downtown Glenwood is especially beautiful this time of year. Shops are just opening, trails are getting cleared out, and the people are rather polite.

If you make the trip to Rifle Falls its worth it! The hiking trails are very scenic of the area, and you can go behind the waterfall. The Amphitheatre is a great place to have a picnic or a family event, there are stone benches and standard picnic tables.

If you travel through the entire trail it will take you a good 1–2 hours, it depends on where you stop for breaks. Make sure that you have plenty of water on hand and this trail does not have restrooms after parking.

Be careful there though, the cell reception is very poor, but I’m sure we all could stand to be away from our phones for awhile.
