I must say I am rather disappointed by this article — because there isn’t anything for me to disagree with :( ….. but ur right, it is unfortunate that Nugent chose that means to voice such serious accusations , and I would go further to say the law was correctly applied here , albeit that law at present is insufficient and quite rightly is undergoing revision for that exact reason, if Minister Wheatley’s words are to be taken as Gospel. Whilst creating atmosphere’s for persons to discuss their sexual abuse is a positive step , it still does not solve the overriding issue of credibility that arises in many instances of rape cases, so I am left to ponder if creating more opportunities for the policing of rape is really more effective than creating an environment to prevent it in the first place — I’m open to ideas still.
