I wrote about this in a thread unrelated to Girlboss, but it really can’t be said enough. Feminism, in all of its iterations, and sub-movements such as sufferage, have truly been able to flourish in western capitalism. I’ll admit I can be weary of women’s marches which presuppose a certain degree of still existent oppression in the USA, but manages to stay utterly silent on the plight of women in the Middle East. Feminism there is considered about as genuine as Dystopian Science Fiction.
