How do you apply the theory and logic you stated to solving an actual security challenge such as ISIS and Russia’s intervention in Syria that convinces policymakers and Commanders to follow? As Francis Park has stated on numerous occasions that theory and strategic analysis needs to be translated into operation orders that units need to execute. The biggest challenge I’ve seen from my tactical, operational, and strategic assignments has been the failure to properly articulate thought to action that achieves the intended effects desired by both policymakers and Commanders.
