One Major iOS Flaw No One Points Out

The ability; to assign custom alert tones to individual apps, is the biggest flaw of iOS. It has been left to developers to add their own flare. Giving Developers the option to implement their own is fine; however very few have actually taken action to make their app stand out. As a consumer, it is a necessity to be able distinguish an email from a Twitter notification. Custom app notifications are something that should be addressed by Apple and streamlined into the core OS.
The tone store is already in place, why not optimize the chance someone would purchase a tone?
Apple created a store for custom tones but has left so much money on table. If there was an option; to add individualized tones to each app, they would add another value to the phone, and ecosystem. Also, Apple could generate more revenue from their tone store. The tone store is already in place, why not optimize the chance someone would purchase a tone? The tone store would be used more and help increase revenue by a small amount. Sure, this small uptick in revenue is probably too minute for Apple to focus on.
We are taking about something I could do on my Blackberry in 2005.
We are able to add custom text tones and ringtones for every single contact in our contacts but we still can not change up the app notifications. Custom notifications, will optimize the ecosystem and create convenience for end users at the same time.
This is something that could be done on a Blackberry in 2005. It’s 2017, Apple, step up and make this a thing. Am I the only one who is annoyed by not having this option? Surely, I am not the only one who noticed this and would love this feature.
