On February 6, Chains of War released the seething creatures you’ve all been waiting for: the Genesis Mounts. As the follow-up of the 10,000 Genesis Heroes Collection sellout at the end of April 2022, the Genesis Mount Collection emboldens the Chains of War strategy of bringing next-gen gaming to the Cardano network.
Your Genesis Mount NFT is not just an NFT. Firstly, as your Genesis Mount NFT is sculpted and modelled in the incredibly versatile Blender 3 software, it allows for smooth conversation to actual in-game use in Unreal Engine 5.1. In short: you’ll be riding your Genesis Mount NFT in-game. Secondly, as we are building an extraction looter and your Genesis Mount will come with an increased movement speed, you’ll be able to cover more ground than others — you’ll reach the extraction point in no time. The information below will explain everything there is to the upcoming mint: how to get whitelisted, when the WL pre-sale and public sale starts, where the mint will happen, how many Genesis Mounts there will be, how many different species there are, what to watch for in terms of traits and skins, if staking is possible (yes!), and how your $MIRA will have transactional utility. When are the WL pre-mint and public sale?
If you’re whitelisted by holding a Hero or winning WL through giveaways, you’re eligible for the WL pre-sale mint on Sunday, February 5, at 12:00 p.m. UTC. The WL pre-sale minting service will be open for 24 hours to give everyone with a Whitelist role the opportunity to mint at their time of preference and within their timezone. Make sure to submit your wallet address — check our Discord for more details on how to do this.
In case you’re not whitelisted by either holding a Hero (hint: it’s not too late to snipe a Hero on Jpgstore) or for being Whitelist Verified because of winning a giveaway, the Genesis Mount public sale will be on Monday, February 6, at 15:00 p.m. UTC. If you want to be sure to mint at least one Mount, getting a Hero on secondary gives you a head start.
The minting service for both the WL pre-sale and the public sale is accessible through our website. In the run-up to the mint, a web link will be provided via the official channels (Twitter & Discord). Needless to say: nobody from the Chains of War team will contact you via DM with payment information. Don’t reply to any of these messages!
How many Genesis Mounts will you be able to mint?
The Genesis Mount Collection will release 4000 Genesis Mounts into the CNFT space. If you’re whitelisted as a holder, the amount of Genesis Mounts you can mint depends on the amount of Genesis Heroes you hold in your wallet and the Whitelist Discord role attached to this amount. The list below shows how many Genesis Mounts you can mint:
Note: If you won a WL spot from a giveaway and are a holder of a Genesis Hero, the WL spot won will be stacked on top of the amount you are allowed to mint based on your Whitelist role. For example, of you are a Genesis Holder and win a WL spot, you will be able to mint 2+1 = 3 Genesis Mounts during the WL pre-sale.
Price and $MIRA payment option
We have decided to enable you to pay in ADA and make it an option for you to pay part of the price with $MIRA. For Genesis Hero holders who received an airdrop, or those who acquired $MIRA through Minswap, you can utilize the $MIRA received to pay for your Genesis Mounts. Nice little bonus, right?
The mint price for the WL Mint and Public Mint:
WL Mint: 200 ADA + 1000 $MIRA OR 225 ADA
Public Mint: 225 ADA + 1000 $Mira OR 250 ADA
Note: Remember, to pay partially with $MIRA is an option: if you don’t have $MIRA, you can always decide to pay in ADA. All $MIRA used in this process will be removed from the market for a future investment fund of a DAO for holders.
Rarity, traits, and staking.
As mentioned above, the Genesis Mounts Collection is a collection of high-quality 3D models ready to be integrated into Unreal Engine 5.1. All 4000 Mounts will be unique: they result from splitting hundreds of interchangeable layers of delicately crafted parts that make up your Genesis Mount NFT. From the different skins, saddles, and armour your Mount has to what species it belongs to and what ecosystem it lives in, your Genesis Mount’s rarity will depend on the combination of all different traits. You’ll be able to stake your Genesis Mount — we have allocated 5,000,000 $MIRA maximum per year for Genesis Mounts, excluding additional rewards for Traits & Staking Booster. Each Genesis Mount will earn you 3.42 $MIRA a day.
