Poem #4: ‘fallen angel acetaminophens’

A black-and-white shot from the 2014 horror film ‘A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night’. Similar to this picture, the fallen angel has decided the time’s right to leave Ghost Town.

dear dr leviathan,

16:17PM, 12th December 1996

i am writing to inform you of a dilemma bending my sclera to the point that I only see forever.

5:04AM, 14th December 1996

i can hear voices and you can see them, pick one out and in its tongue I will write in pen.

19:16PM, 19th December 1996

you don’t understand, i have the senses and you have the hands, but because i shake and squirm am i half a man?

14:53, 20th December 1996

for God’s sake, how dare you ignore the presence of my dilemma? the cankering blight is losing its temper…

00:43, 24th December 1996

doctor, i came to inform you of what i have said, you were absent and these words have rendered my body dead, so refill your pencil and mark in your lead all of the lies to your patients you fed.

Dear Fallen Angel,

These string of messages have been very strange and I can’t quite deduce what it is that you were trying to inform me. I have checked with all the hotels in Ghost Town and found your motel-they said you left the previous day? I highly recommend you come to my clinic; it would be easier to talk about your predicament in person. Kind regards,

Dr L. Leviathan
