Staking Guide for Chakra Testnet Aqua

This guide is designed to help you participate in the staking process on the Chakra Testnet. You can stake Signet Bitcoin either through the Chakra Staking dApp or the Babylon Staking dApp, with Chakra as the finality provider. In both cases, your staked assets will be delegated to Chakra, serving as the finality provider for Babylon. Let’s walk through both methods.

Currently, the Chakra staking web application supports Chrome on desktop platforms. This guide assumes you are using this setup. To start staking Signet Bitcoin on Chakra Testnet, you’ll need to set up an OKX Wallet to store your Signet Bitcoin. Let’s get started!

Set up OKX Wallet

1. Download OKX Wallet: Download the OKX wallet extension from the official website.

2. Create or Import Wallet: After installation, either create a new wallet or import an existing one.

3. Add Signet BTC Token to Your OKX Wallet: Open your wallet, scroll to the bottom of the cryptocurrencies list, and click on Manage Crypto. Search for sBTC and add it to your wallet.

4. Confirm Address Type: Ensure that you are using a Taproot or Native SegWit address format, as Chakra Testnet is compatible with them. Click on Signet BTC in your OKX Wallet and confirm the address type.

Obtain Signet Bitcoin Tokens

You can obtain Signet Bitcoin tokens by:

1. Joining the Babylon Discord server and claiming from the Babylon Faucet.
2. Using the official Signet Faucet.

Stake Signet Bitcoin

You can stake Signet Bitcoin on the Chakra Testnet via two methods: staking on the Chakra Staking dApp or staking on the Babylon Staking dApp with Chakra as the finality provider. Your staked assets will be delegated to Chakra in either case. We will guide you through both methods.

Regardless of where you stake your Signet Bitcoin, you can view your staking details in the “Staking History” section on both the Chakra and Babylon Staking dApps. Try it out now!

Stake on Chakra Staking dApp

1. Visit the Chakra Staking dApp.
2. Connect your OKX wallet.

3. Enter your stake amount (0.0005 to 0.05 sBTC), and stake.

4. Stake Success! Navigate to Staking History to view your staking details.

5. Wait for your pending staking transaction to turn “Locked”. It could take up to 1 hour for confirmation, so please wait patiently.

Stake on Babylon Staking dApp with Chakra as the Finality Provider

1. Visit the Babylon Staking dApp.
2. Connect your OKX wallet.

3. Select Chakra as your finality provider. Your stakes will then be delegated to Chakra on the Babylon Testnet.

4. Enter your stake amount (0.0005 to 0.05 sBTC), and stake.

5. Navigate to Staking History and view your staking transaction (you will see the details of your stakes on the Chakra Staking dApp too).

Verify the Staking Task

Once you’ve completed staking on either dApp, you can verify the staking task in both Chakra’s Galxe Campaign and Babylon’s Galxe Campaign! Stake once and unlock the opportunity to earn bonus from both platforms.

Verify the Staking Task with Chakra

1. Navigate to Chakra’s Galxe Campaign
2. Click the round arrow on the staking task to begin the verification process.
3. Bind your Signet address when prompted.
4. Verification complete! Finish all other tasks and enter your Starknet address to receive a special gift from Chakra.

Verify the Staking Task with Babylon

1. Navigate to Babylon’s Galxe Campaign
2. Click the round arrow on the staking task to begin the verification process.
3. Bind your Signet address when prompted.
4. Verification complete! Finish all other tasks and receive a Mystery Box from Babylon.
