I have responded before this that I “left North America” as well and am intimate with the amazon ‘two-week’ (loosely defined) delivery process at many times the ‘local’ rate plus tariffs… and am actually a bit envious of your 75 degrees (farenheit, of course) as the Yucatan is generally a warm 85–95 degrees on its mild days. And the low cost of living, replete with amazing produce and fresh (organic means very little when chemicals are rarely in use) food? A gift that goes beyond description.
There is so much world and so many beautiful and delicious customs, traditions, recipes and rewards to be sampled. Why settle for convenience when there is so much more?
