I can offer the voice from ‘that’ side of things, actually. I grew up in a crucible of light, a spiritual, rather than religious (and I agree about the dogmatically positioned not being helpful in the slightest) community that had its issues like any other… and I was given the message that I am a (in their language) child of God… and that this was not some whiskered tyrant on a throne somewhere…
Though, what I was taught expected me to be perfect. The teachings were laced with my parents’ conditioned beliefs as well… so I was taught I was divine, holy, everyone is loved, look into people’s eyes and see the Infinite there… at the same time I was taught that I had to be perfect to embody what was called ‘Christ Consciousness’.
Being the being that I am, Sananda and I have had quite a few conversations and you’re right, of course. What ‘he’ (in his incarnation as one of the primary circle of light) taught was love… acceptance… ‘the works that I do you can do’ (paraphrasing). That is true. All of it.
Humans wrote the book religions and the books thereof. The avatars did not.
So my point? To your point, actually. One answer to your query is that yes, a new reference, a new framework of being embraced by Divinity, as we all truly are, each in our own ways, would not only be helpful but would, literally, change this world. It would help the teenage girls. the teenage boys, and all of us. IF, and only IF we also eradicate all of our dogmatically positioned leftovers and allow Spirit to do what she does!!! (no gender implied here — it’s part of my gig with Source)
Most Christians grow up being told to be blessed by “Let go and let God”, and fear it completely. It translates as being possessed or a puppet. SO far from the truth… unless you believe God is that controlling asshole you mention… ;)
GOOD question!! A rambling answer, to be sure, but things are rarely black and white on this world, are they? (and you have to admit the color palette is gobsmacking).
