One of my French friends uses the expression “pearls before pigs”. She uses it whenever I nurture the tendency to ‘overdo, over-give, over-console, over-tend’. This post made me smile for two reasons. One: A new expression! Oh frabjous day! Two: The number of claps this stellar post had received at the time of my perusal is a master number! The master number 444 indicates “completion of a piece of work”. Not a graduation, not a total ending/beginning, but the satisfying conclusion to a ‘work’ in progress or pattern that has been wanting to dissolve. Reasons to celebrate!

Perhaps whether ’tis nobler in the mind to smear dusty rose onto porcine lips or to be present with the certainty of what is ours or not ours to complete. ;)

Thank you Gail! I’m off to add to those claps now.
