Beware of the Comparison Trap

haven't you ever wished that you were living the life of someone else? haven't you ever wished that you were smarter, born into a richer family, and had opportunities and things that you don't have at the present?
I have.
I have to admit that I have wished for such things in the past. And whenever i have though like that, my mind has not been at peace. i have felt restless and discontented.
discontentment leads to greed. when you are dissatisfied with what you have, you begin to yearn for the possessions of others and devise dubious ways of acquiring them. And the first thing such an action does to shatter the peace in our minds. and hearts, because deep inside, a voice is continuously reminding us, You are wrong! You are fault!
My neighbor may have a bigger house, drive a better car, wear expensive clothes, and possess mor luxury materials than me. But you don't know what is going on with their lives. They might be highly successful in their careers, but not have a desirable life at home. They also might have more debt than you. Sometimes there is never a way to truly tell the difference.
i personally suggested u to be more prudent with your mind. besides, instead of comparing your life to others' you should focus on your own well-being and be an eminent person. You will be happier and start to appreciate life if you do the following:
- Live below your means.
- Stop worrying about other people business.
- Find ways to improve your personal and professional growth.
