Itachi Uchiha from Naruto series is one of the main supporting characters. At first he is introduced to us as a savage rogue leaf ninja.
His introduction in the show is marked with the conflict in the Konoha village between Itachi, and the Shinobi’s of Konoha village.
At first, we get to know him by his act of wiping out the entire Uchiha clan, massacring his parents, betraying his village, just for fun.
Everyone in the world hates him for his deeds. And Sasuke Uchiha desperately wants to kill Itachi.
But later on we find out the reality of Itachi when Madara (Tobi) explains it to Sasuke Uchiha.
The main reasons we love Itachi;
Itachi was that one backbone of the village who was compelled to wipe out his clan because of the internal words spreading among the Uchiha clan to declare a war against the Konoha village, to whom they belonged to.
Itachi was forced to abundant his dear brother Sasuke and join the Akatsuki.
Itachi wanted Sasuke to hate him, and hate enough to surpass him.
He wanted Sasuke to use his Hatred as a fuel for burning himself into getting stronger.
If you want to kill me, despise me, hate me, and live in an unsightly way… Run, and cling to life, and then someday, when you have the same eyes as I do, come before me.
Itachi was a capable Ninja who had mastered almost of the Jutsu by the age of 13. He was the youngest in the Anbu. He was teamed up with Kakasi. His eyes had unique capabilities then other Uchihas.
Itachi saved the village with his sacrifices, without letting the world know nothing about it. And remained to be known as a rogue Ninja who betrayed his village.
No matter what darkness or contradictions lie within the village. I am still Itachi Uchiha of the leaf.
The main reason Itachi Uchiha didn’t wanted to let the world know about the reality was not merely that he didn’t wanted to be acknowledged, but, because he didn’t wanted the world to know the plan of Uchiha’s of a war against Konoha.
He sacrificed himself to protect the name and fame of of his clan.
It was not just the love for his brother, but also the reason that he loved his clan.
Afterall all these, Itachi wanted to die with the hands of a capable and true Uchiha. That’s what he called his faith.
How Itachi failed to transform Sasuke?
Itachi assumed that upon knowing about his sacrifices for the village, his brother would probably surrendered his obedience to the village, and probably become a recognised Uchiha. And protect the village.
But things went totally opposite and Sasuke went against the Village and it’s higher ups. He sought revenge from the village and had become a challenge for the village to overcome.
Itachi couldn’t possibly change Sasuke and his thoughts.
Being a powerful, wise, and loving brother, he couldn’t stop Sasuke from doing his own.
It was Naruto who satisfied Itachi about changing his brother and bringing him back to the village.
What If Itachi Uchiha was alive?
Hence, we love Itachi for protecting his village just like those soldiers at the border who devote their life for their country.
But in case of Itachi, unlike the soldiers, he was not praised, but hated. He was not known with pride, but dishonored.
- Being such a skilled Ninja, he could’ve enjoyed his life accomplish his goals and bringing peace and prosperity to the village.
- He and his brother were going to create beautiful life together.
- He could’ve been a guide and Sensei to @ Naruto, (Probably better than @ Kakashi, Jiraya, or anyone else).
