But why do we surround ourselves with those who act as agents of chaos and destruction. We look out as separate people on separate things and it’s hard enough to feel connected without someone else trying to unbind us from the world.
We put ourselves into so many situations defined by the desire to be done. Like a bad MDMA trip, when your entire body gets hot and you want to dance but you feel nauseous but you keep dancing anyway because if you don’t the drugs would’ve been a waste of money.
When you are young you are expected to endure so much, to continue moving regardless of where you are headed, stillness seemingly synonymous with surrender. Age grants us the power to say no, or rather the luxury of feeling accepted when we do. But youth doesn’t mean you have to stay silent.
