Chapter 12

This week we talked and went more into depth about the importance of diverstity in the workplace. This is the topic my group presented on so I had a lot of background information on the topic. Diversity brings more creative ideas to the table from all different kinds of people.

If your company isn’t diverse in the people that work there not only does it look bad but it also doesn’t benefit your company in any way. Studies show when companies bring more diversity into their workplace their sales go up significantly. You want to be diverse in the senses of race, color, gender, etc. Gender diversity is the biggest problem we see today. Many companies are heavy in male employees and you don’t see as many female employees, this is a huge problem.
