White lies…

Blur the lines

You caught me in one

I said it was done.

Disappointing when the trust is worn

So thin it erodes away the skin

Of our love which outlasted a million sorrows.

And here we are tomorrow…

I can’t think of a moment now

When lies didn’t define how

we are. Or how I broke your heart first

To be then driven by an unending thirst

For your forgiveness and trust.

It became my must.

Tomorrows became years…

You have fulfilled my worst fears

Now I swallow all your white lies

And pray for when our love dies.
