When Yves Klein was a boy, his parents spoiled him with all the art supplies in France. He used every colour vividly, every colour except for blue. Yves loathed blue. He loathed blue until one day his parents stopped buying him materials and all that was left was blue. A monochromatic palette of blue, in every Niçoise medium.
