Unofficial Swarm for Windows — Alpha version

I am very pleased and honoured that I could be able to try Docker for Windows during the private beta.

In the early days of help hacking Swarm, I was thinking of how could we help people to easily access both Docker and Swarm. It’s because I have experienced myself that setting up any kind of cluster is normally hard. Swarm already makes things easier, but it’s still a problem for beginners.

After I got a copy of Docker for Windows, I realized that it’s far super easy for people to getting started with Docker. And with it, I think I can help people getting more familiar with Swarm too !!

So I pulled every single Swarm experiences out of my head and start creating a program, which uses a simple deployment model as Docker for Windows.

It’s intended to help Windows users easier to access and understand how Docker Swarm works. Later you can go with a real production Swarm cluster on your cloud. It works with Docker for Windows and other settings as long as you name your Docker host as “docker”. (Basically it just creates a cluster through “docker:2375”).

Please note that this is a solely community project and not affiliated with Docker inc.

I hope you like it and feedback is really welcome.

ps. I’m going to opensource it soon enough.
