Some Tools I Use for Writing

I do a lot of writing, mostly poetry for now. But I wanted to share some of the tools I use to save time and work smarter.

Clipstack

I use this instead of my supplied transfer tool for moving Bible verses and quotes. It is very easy to use and erase when you’re finished.

Word Counter

I can put a whole chapter of the books I’m working on to count the words instead of manually. Have you ever tried doing it manually, it’s very frustrating?

Notebooks

I use this one which is called “notebooks” on Google Play or probably any source you use for apps. It allows you to have many notebooks, different colors if you want to divide them by colors for each topic. Also gives you the option to make each one as long as you want.

I use these for all the different things I am working on: publishers, writer’s notebook, kinds of books I am writing and subjects, quotes, Bible verses etc. The options are limitless.

List and notebook combination

This is used for mainly keeping a list of my poetry titles so I don’t have duplicate entries. It has a search feature to see if you have duplicates. Very handy. You can write notes with it but I haven’t used it for that purpose yet.

Alphabetizer

Although I haven’t used this yet, zi will be soon.

Topic sheets

I use scratch paper for this in the initial stage. I have an abundant supply but you can do it any way you want. I put a topic at the top of the page and put a line down the middle vertically. Then I put the title of the poem and a short blurb to tell me briefly what poem is about.

You can use this idea for blogging or any kind of writing to help you organize and find it quickly.

Chapter sheets

This is used for the outline of each chapter to tell me what has been done already and what still needs to be accomplished. You can also customize this to your own needs.

Share some of your own tools and make life easier for the writing community.

Thank you
