TMPF creates future naturalists

By Charis Nixon

Parents and children gather at the Sun Valley Regional Park in Reno, Nevada to learn about nature from Alexandria Mabrouk, the Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation program coordinator.

During the program, the kids color pictures of native and invasive plants and animals before going on a hike to try and spot them. According to Mabrouk, this program is meant to give children a sense of responsibility for their community parks, as well as an appreciation for nature and the environment.
