Because considering that the vast majority of trans women who experience violence are also trans women of colour, your belief that trans women are more “violent” than the cis men who attack them… like, I can’t even begin to convey how incredibly insulting and wrong that is.

I don’t think that’s what he was saying — he said that cis men feel that their masculinity is being threatened by trans women. Then the cis men in question are violent towards the trans women.
