How to Buy ZCC Tokens on IDEX Exchange

Zero Carbon Project has listed their ZeroCarbon (ZCC) tokens to be traded on IDEX. This is to allow energy suppliers to purchase ZCC to pay their transaction fees, to allow consumers to cash in their ZCC rewards and to allow people to buy and sell them for their own purposes.
This tutorial takes a user through the process of buying ZeroCarbon tokens step by step.
Step 1: Source ether from your wallet
You will need a wallet with enough ether to purchase ZCC tokens and to pay the gas costs. The gas cost is the transaction fee for using the Ethereum blockchain.
If you do not have these ready, please follow the link below on how to set up a wallet, buy ether and connect to IDEX.
Step 2: Deposit ETH
Ensure the IDEX market URL is https://idex.market/eth/aura and connect your wallet. If you are unsure of how to do this or if you have any issues follow the tutorial in the link above.
Scroll over “BALANCES” in the top right of the screen and select “FULL BALANCES”. Navigate to Asset “ETH” with Name “Ether”. This can be done quickly by using the search bar but will most likely be the top one.
Every time you want to move funds from your wallet to your IDEX wallet, you must hit “QUERY” or “QUERY ALL”. “QUERY” checks your balance of the particular asset whereas “QUERY ALL” checks your balance for all assets. Upon seeing your correct IDEX balance displayed proceed to press “DEPOSIT” in the “Actions” column.
You can now enter the amount of ether you want to deposit on IDEX or press “Send entire balance” and it will insert the maximum you are able to deposit. Then press “DEPOSIT”. If you wish you can change the Gas Price below although this is not recommended for beginners.
Step 3: Confirm Transaction
You will then be asked to confirm the transaction. Check all details carefully before pressing “CONFIRM”. With a hardware wallet (Ledger) you will have to confirm the transaction on the device as well or with Metamask a window will pop up requiring you to press confirm (pop up blockers will usually block this window so ensure to disable them beforehand).
Step 4: Check on Deposit
To check the progress of your deposit navigate to “BALANCES” and then “BALANCE HISTORY”.
Once the deposit is complete you should see the below pop up and you are now ready to trade!
Step 5: Go to ZCC Trading Page
Navigate to the ZCC exchange page, you can do this by first clicking on “TRADE” at the top of the screen.
Now select Coin “ZCC” with Name “ZeroCarbon”. This can be done quickly using the search bar as shown below.
Step 6: Place Buy Order
Navigate to the “BUY ZCC” box. Below the box, you can see the open sell orders. In other words, these are the prices people are willing to sell ZCC tokens at the moment you are looking. If you see the price you are looking to buy at, you can click on the order and it will fill in the necessary information for you and you can alter the quantity if need be. If not, don’t worry just input the quantity and price you want to buy at.
Double check the total order value and if you are happy with it press “BUY” and your order will be sent to the market (you will have to confirm this on your wallet just as in Step 3).
If there is an open bid matching your price the tokens will be credited to your account near instantly. If not, you will have to wait until your order is matched. You are able to check on the status of your order by going to “Orders” and then “Trade History”. If it is waiting to be sent to the ETH blockchain it will say “Pending”, if it is waiting to be mined “Processing” and complete “Complete”. If it is “Processing” you will be able to click on the link provided to check on the transaction.
