Wow. This was one of the best design articles I have ever read. I am now high on confirmation bias and buzzing on Hemingway lean prose.
Together with the iNPD (integrated new product development) model, this shows a clear and actionable path forward for connecting design, engineering and business.
Thank you for the article. I’m thinking the same with you but I felt so guilty about it with all my agile certifications. ( I learned so many great things btw.)
But the thing is as you said, agile is a mindset. Its not a tool. Scrum, boards etc they are just tools we are using to be more “agile”.
Of course, there is no such thing as ‘Agile’ — agile is adjective, not a noun. So why we use the word ‘Agile’ as a noun? Dave Thomas explained it in simple words — “you cannot sell adjective” :)
I fell as if I am on a never-ending treadmill driving me forward. I have no “slack” time to let new things bubble up from my hind brain.
I truly hate the connotations behind the word “sprint”. They are not consistent with quality workmanship.
