This was widely interpreted as allowing the Chinese security authorities access to iOS source code.
Apple is (still) wrong, and tech needs to grow up.

To use a phrase you used earlier, bollocks. If you think Apple let China’s government see the iOS source code, you’re on crack. I’d believe that it let the Chinese see the phones, and have a try at looking for backdoors (either to exploit or to see if they phone home to the NSA), but source code? Dream on. No reputable analyst I’ve seen anywhere — and I follow a lot — gives this idea any credence.

But of course if it helps you build up a picture of Apple as untrustworthy, you seem happy to include it without any attributory link so that people could judge the merits of those “analysts”.
