I think for many people, falling into habits of complacency and rationalization is a lot easier than facing difficult truths. I’m glad you were able to recognize you were on the wrong path, since that’s the hardest step. I hope that I am as honest with myself as you eventually were and that I continue to be even in seemingly “alright” times.
