Powerful stuff, thank you. I can’t possibly relate on any real level to your plight, but I know what it’s like to be a parent in fear of an child’s imminent death (in my case, for medical reasons) and the constant psychic battle that you have to win just to get through the day, much less be there 100% for your kids. To have this happen to me as a result of my race would change everything … it would change how I think about myself in a thousand small ways, and change how I view the world in significant ones. You deserve lots of hugs and praise. Please keep talking.
