Senior citizens aren't rationing their insulin and kids aren't going hungry because we're sending arms to Ukraine. Neither is our healthcare system spiraling due to the same thing. And we had those same problems before February 2022, and they haven't gotten worse since then. Those problems are what they are because the wealthy want their money as soon as its printed, and they need the arrogance of thinking they deserve it more than the rest of us. It's called class warfare.

A nation with a fiat currency isn't budgeted like a household. Look up Modern Monetary Theory and read Stephanie Kelton's book The Deficit Myth. I think Joe Biden's economic team subscribes to it. I can't otherwise explain why the Fed raising its interest rates so aggressively to stop inflation didn't send the economy into a serious recession.

Yes, the Ukraine War is exhausting. Wars are exhausting at best, when they aren't Hell. Putin has made it plain that he wants to attack NATO allies next, and blames NATO for his trouble in Ukraine. You can depend on that because he's even more vindictive than Trump.

"It’s been the stalemate so many people predicted it would be, with perpetual, years-long conflict that really shows no sign of stopping."

The difference here is we don't have our troops committed to the stalemate. If Ukraine continues its fight, we'll never be called on to save a NATO ally.
