I’m sorry. Most men, myself included don’t understand the trauma of rape. Our bodies are not designed for perceiving its objective perpetration. It’s very difficult to even imagine rape in a traumatically meaningful way without our maleness undermining our best intentions.

We have this world, still a mans world through and through. The cops, the jury, everyone sees through this mans-world lens. Like feminism, the first step is to unsee our normal, to recalibrate it.
