I have an opinion on this that is a bit of a double-edged sword.

The ability to design and develop a thing has become so easily accessible, that pretty much anyone can get into it if they want to. On the one side this is fantastic, but on the other it means we end up with a lot of designer/developers who don’t always pay back that same consideration for making their thing accessible to the people who will ultimately use it.

It’s too easy to focus only on the typical user. Trends are cheap time savers to follow. Making something work in both landscape and portrait is extra work, when you’re of the opinion that people can just rotate their device.

All of these are things that I reckon can and will be fixed over time. We need more people to share their experiences and spread awareness. We need more people to be making inclusive design considerations. We need more people who care.
