Why You Need To Take Care Of Your New-made Tattoo?
The Tattoo is kind of a medical procedure, tattoo artist uses a needle to insert the ink underneath your skin, any time you open the skin, you leave yourself vulnerable to scarring and infections.To take good care your new tattoo to promote recovery and heals is necessary! Here are some tips for tattoo aftercare.
How To Take Care Of Your New Tattoo?
- The artist should apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment or Vaseline over the tattoo and then cover the area in a aftercare bandage or plastic wrap. This covering prevents bacteria from getting into your skin and protects the tattoo from rubbing onto your clothes and getting irritated.
2. Remove the bandage after 24 hours. Wash you hand and gently wash the tattoo with antimicrobial soap and water and be sure to pat dry.
3. Apply a layer of antibacterial/Vaseline ointment twice a day, but don’t put on another bandage, don’t put on another bandage.
4. Gently wash your tattoo area twice a day with soap and water and gently pat dry before reapplying the antibacterial/Vaseline ointment.
Keep applying a moisturizer or ointment after you clean it to keep it moist.
5. Repeat process above for 2 to 4 weeks and wait for it to heal.
During this period you should:
- Cover your tattoo with sunblock with a physical blocker sunscreen with at least 7% zinc oxide sunscreen during daylight hours until it’s fully healed
- Not to wear clothes that will stick to your tattoo
- And take cool showers,hot water will fade the ink
- If your tattoo scabs a bit or develops hard layers, never pick, scratch, or peel it. You could get an infection or remove the color
- Go to see your doctor if your tattoo is infected, or isn’t healing properly
