I agree with your first point. Jrue Holiday seems like a solid guy, while Rose definitely has some issues. On the court Holiday is as injured as Rose, while being a better defender and shooter. He is not elite (probably bottom half of the league if you had to rank starting point guards). Rose was probably also bottom half of the league in starting point guards. But I dont think they were 28 million different. My main point is that I think Rose at 2 million is a great deal, especially if he can come off the bench and give you some scoring or be a stop-gap if the Cavs decide to trade Kryie for a non-pg. In fact, if I were Cleveland I would be shopping for another athletic wing and not a primary ball-handler, while starting Rose, Lebron, and Love. A wing makes much more sense than trying to go out and get a player like bledsoe.
