I honestly don't think this is that terrible of a trade for Orlando. Ibaka is unlikely to sign with them next season, nor should Orlando want to sign him to a long term deal. They ultimately got a decent guard and a draft pick, which is not too terrible. In hindsight the trade of oladipo and sabonis for Ibaka looks somewhat bad, but honestly how much better is oladipo than Ross? Per-36 minutes show that Ross and Oladipo are fairly compatible, with Ross being a better 3pt shooter, while advance stats WS, BPM, TS%, etc. all further go to Ross. The difference is Oladipo is a starter, who was drafted in the top 5 out of a top/famous basketball school.
