There are so many ways we choose to deal with depression. Drinking, drugs, risky behaviors, medication to treat depression. What if there was one way to overcome depression and have zero side affects. What if we could find a complete cure to depression and it is not in a magical pill. What if we have held this power inside of ourselves all time but our programming in life has caused us to be depressed.
Every person that we interact with in our life by the age of 7 years old especially the people that raise us or are in our lives on a daily or weekly base will contribute to our programming. Some of the most common programming that we receive is not feeling like we are not enough, significant, or loved. When we are programmed by mostly our parents to have these types of feelings, we can fall into a state of depression. Most of the time we as a parent we do not even know that this is causing issues in the lives of our kids.
The only thing is we can not predict what will causes these feelings because as adults we also have felt the same thing from our parents. This is a generational issue. This is being passed down from one generation to another. Depression is not biological or hereditary as the psychiatrist or the medical field will still argue. Most of the medical field is operating in the notion that our issues lie in DNA. With the new field of Epigenetic's this will argue differently. Epigenetic’s is the study that the individual cell is affected my the environmental factors.
So if the environment is has an affect on each individual cell then the environment can also be a contributing factor in depression. If we are in fact depressed because of the environment then what can we do to get rid of the depression? The first step is identifying the emotion that is tied to your depression. For example if you are feeling depressed what is the emotion that we are feeling at that time? Sadness, loneliness, what does that feel like to you.
Once you have identified the emotion, what was the earliest event that you can remember that you started to feel this emotion. Was there a specific event and did that feeling keep arising because of the event like other situations where you felt that way?
Once you can identify these these two things I want you to think back at that moment and ask yourself how what is a new empowering feeling that you can have in place of that feeling, what did you learn and how did you grow because of it. As you think about that empowering new feeling or what you learned that empowered you rather then the old feeling, I want you to close your eyes go back to that moment and float over that moment in your own mind like you are seeing the that moment beneath you. As you think of the feeling that you did have that made you feel depressed I want you to think of the new empowering feeling that you had gained because of being in that moment. What is the new lesson you learned because of it. I want you to store that moment in your subconscious mind for later use anytime you need it you have it. Now I want you to lock that new feeling into place like the sound of a Tupperware as you close it. Lock in the new empowering feeling that you ahve now. As you are floating above that moment I want you to just let go of the emotions that do not serve you. Let if fall away from you. Now slowly open your eyes and you should be feeling lighter.
