Drug peddling, lobster bisque eating, gun toting, man boob having, and whore mongering Rick Ross — real name William Leonard Roberts II — finally got something he has longed desired; a real-life violent encounter with guns. The only problem is that most people seem to think the entire “getaway” was staged. Personally, I hope it wasn’t, simply because I want this situation to help Ross realize that taking a real thug’s persona and generating a fake persona has serious repercussions. It is only a matter of time before you get tested in these cold streets where people only judge you by the product you convey. Rawse couldn’t have been that naive to think his time wouldn’t come.

I have many issues with hip hop as a whole, but the issue with Rick Ross is blaring through every medium of media. We all know the Bawse is a fraud, this isn’t new, but would he go to the lengths to setup a shooting geared toward himself?

Yes.

Ross’ past is a strong indicator that he could be adding to his already fraudulent record. The juxtaposition of Rick Ross’ contrasting lifestyles is a major head-scratcher. I get it, music is for entertainment purposes only, but much like method actors, when does it stop once the lights are off and you’re told to exit stage left? For most rap acts the light is powered by kinetic energy; it never stops, unless they’re sleep or dead. And that is the problem with most rappers; tell your stories, but use them as a means to better your life and influence others in some sort of positive light (I’m speaking towards gangster artists). Will that ever happen? Probably not, but with the influx of new artists stepping away from the typical gangster or drug game rap, there is a beacon of hope glimmering through the cesspool of popular rap.

Lastly, I wouldn’t feel bad if the shooting happened to be real. This is the life Ross wants to portray and ultimately live. So why should I feel sorry for someone that puts themselves in a situation that could lead them to be injured or die. Is this an insensitive take on his predicament? Hell yes. Ross didn’t have to go down this road just to sell records and wrangle up a ton of fame, but this is the path he chose, and he has nobody to blame but himself.

Side note: I DO NOT wish on his death, relax.
