Charming Charlie, the Houston-based women’s jewelry and accessories retailer, has opened its first store in Qatar and plans more growth in the Middle East.

The retailer teamed up with Apparel Group, an international licensing partner, to open the 2,900-square-foot store in Ezdan Mall, in the capital city of Doha.“We’re thrilled to be introducing the Charming Charlie brand to Qatar,” company founder and CEO Charlie Chanaratsopon said in a statement. “As one of the world’s commercial capitals, Doha is an essential market for our expanding footprint in the Middle East.”Additional stores are planned in the Middle East this year. Two Charming Charlie stores opened in Dubai in 2015.

Charming Charlie was created in 2004 and has since expanded to 350 locations in the U.S., Canada, the Middle East and the Philippines. Apparel Group is based in Dubai and operates about 1,200 stores for 55 brands in the Middle East and Asia.
