Synopsis: A scientist studying a deadly virus must fight back when he and his wife are threatened by an organization intent on taking over the world.
Art of Deception took me by surprise. The film has lots of twists and turns and lots of action. The action scenes are done well and look great, especially for a lower budget film. The chemistry between the leads, Richard Ryan and Jackie Nova, is great and believable.
I really enjoyed that Jackie Nova, despite being the damsel in distress, also got some great fight scenes of her own. I really enjoyed her in this movie and will definitely be checking out more of her films.
The story itself is pretty cool, with the CIA creating a virus where the cure allows them to control people’s actions, making them do anything against their will. While initially seeming quite far fetched, I could see a government doing this to try to take over the world. The villains of the movie were well portrayed and I loved getting to see them get what was coming to them.
As a whole Art of Deception tells a solid story, is action packed, has some badass characters and a great ending.
Score: 4.0 out of 5.0
