‘Sausage Party’ Has Heart … and Balls

I’ve got to disagree with your take on the ambition and “earnestness” of the film. It not only approached, but successfully discussed ideas of free will vs destiny, as well as whether organized religion is a force for good or evil in society. To even broach those subjects, let alone openly parade a basically athiest agenda in an animated comedy takes a lot of “balls”.

Most importantly, the movie was hilarious from start to finish. It’s ability to tackle big picture issues should all just be gravy. Wish the review focused more on the laughs-per-minute aspect of the film, which is what’s really most important in an R-rated, raunchy comedy such as this.
